Brittany & Austin’s whimsical outdoor wedding at Orcutt Ranch Horticulture Center in West Hills California is full of charm and whimsy. She selected the venue for its older buildings and vintage decor as well as the gorgeous rose gardens. Her colors consisted of blush, champagne, ivory, gold and mauves. Brittany’s personalization was B-E-A-UTIFUL! She had details everywhere, a vintage lounge from Provenance Rentals , a photo booth from, a habit food truck, glow sticks and a grand exit in a 1958 vintage rolls royce. Surrounded by friends and family, and the love shared between two very special people, the night was surely what Brittany envisioned, romantic and whimsical.

Q: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?

A: So much work went into the florals for the wedding. I personally went to the florist for examples bouquets 2 times before deciding on the flowers and colors for the big day. My florist, Shannon, was phenomenal in the preparation and the day of. I had greenery on the guest tables that held up our custom table numbers with single white roses throughout. My bouquet was gorgeous with greenery, soft pinks, and the various textures.

Q: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

A: The most anticipated part of our wedding day was the ceremony. Austin and I wrote our own vow and with the help of my dear friend/Officiant, I customized the entire ceremony myself. I hand picked each reading so it would reflect who Austin and I are as well as who our aspirations for the future. I reviewed and considered every single word to ensure it was exactly the way we wanted for the moment we commit our lives to each other. And it was an epic moment.

Brittany’s wedding attire was so stunning! Her dress was from thee lovely shop CocoMelody. It was a shoulder gown of satin with two lace overlays and with a customized rhinestone belt. The necklace and bracelet she wore was my gift from the groom and was beyond gorgeous. The last part of brides attire holds a large amount of treasure. Brittany’s veil is not only gorgeous but very special because it is the veil her mother wore on her wedding day. Her parents have been happily married for 30 years.

Brittany & Austin’s relationship ventures all the way back to high school where they walked the halls as best friends. Brittany always teased Austin and told him that She would one day marry him. 10 years later, she is no longer walking down the halls but an isle to say “I do” to the love of her life. The two tied the knot at Orcutt Ranch Horticulture center in West Hills California.

"I look at you and see the rest of my life in front of my eyes."

How gorgeous is this flower girl?

The groom wore grey slacks with a matching vest. A white shirt, a light grey tie, and his grandfathers tie clip. The sleeves of his and the groomsman's shirt's were rolled up to bring in the vintage feel and to keep them cool on the hot summer day.

Q: Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

A: We had The Habit food truck come at the end of our wedding and it was a big hit. My husband and I love a good cheeseburger after a night of partying and a food truck just seemed right.

A: I planned my wedding by myself and without the help of a planner. My best advice for planning is to book Brooke Guiton as your photographer. She was the first vendor I booked and was such a dream to work with. She helped my find other vendors, create my timeline, and determine what was most important to me on my big day. My best advice for marriage is don't expect anything to change. Austin is my best friend. He always has been and he always will be. I look forward to waking up next to him every morning and he is the first person I call when I have something to share. I married him for these and many other reasons so I would I want anything to change. "If you did it right, nothing changes.. and why would you want it to."
